The generator
Eleven layers stack in a fixed order: background, aura, skin, hoodie, headwear, eyes, facial hair, mouth, accessory, companion, meme tag. Most are optional. 1,980 hoods come out the other side, each one animated rather than static.

How it’s built
Three moving parts
A generator, a vault, and a feed. That is the whole machine — there is no season two hiding behind it.
The vault
Tokens 1981 to 1996 skip the generator entirely. Sixteen hand-built one-of-ones, each a tribute to a collection that got here first. They are not scored and they are not repeatable.
The feed
The grid on the home page draws from a shuffle bag, so a hood never appears twice on screen and the whole pool cycles before anything repeats. It is the collection talking to itself.

Short answers. If something is not here, it is probably because the honest answer is “we do not know yet”.
Is there a roadmap?
No. There is a collection of 2,000 animated pixel hoods and a website that shows them properly. Anything past that would be a promise, and promises are the part of this space that ages worst.
What’s the supply?
2,000 total: 1,980 generative hoods rolled from 11 trait layers, plus 16 one-of-one grails in the vault. The remaining four are reserved. Nothing gets minted afterwards.
Why is every hood animated?
Because a still pixel hood is a JPEG and the whole point is that these ones move. Each hood is a looping GIF. On this site they load as a lightweight first frame and only animate when you actually look at one — you can switch motion off entirely from the footer.
How is rarity decided?
Rare trait values carry more points, points add up per hood, and the total lands it in one of four tiers: Common, Uncommon, Epic, Legendary. Nothing is adjusted by hand after mint. The rarity page shows the full distribution for every layer.
Are the grails tributes or copies?
Tributes. Each one borrows a silhouette, a palette or a posture from a collection that mattered — Punks, Apes, Doodles, Squiggles, Moonbirds and the rest — and then puts a hood on it. Original artwork, drawn as a nod.
What do I get by holding one?
A hood. That is the deal, stated plainly. No token, no staking, no revenue share, no discord tier that quietly disappears in six months.
